Peter Panic!
I woke up from a cool dream one morning (Panel 15/16) and it had enough in common with the story of Peter Pan (pirates/flying kids/tropical island) that I decided to try making a world-building project out of it. I had decided to explore a theme of responsibility because it's something we can all relate to and Peter Pan's personality is in direct contrast to it. This helped me to develop enough story beats to put them together into a basic movie plot in 29 panels, which took longer than I thought of course! My goal next time is to distill the plot further into less panels and show much more of the process work as well.

Desert Island

The setting is in part, inspired by a dream I can't repeat. I'm sorry, it's too embarrassing or self-aggrandizing-not sure yet but it's one of the two.  Jared M. Diamond's book "Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed." and the story of Easter Island inspired me to create my own eco cautionary tale, with Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke, or Nausicaa as the Bar.
